[Dublin and New York, July 8th] — In a joint effort to unlock traceability across fashion’s most complex and opaque tiers, World Collective and Kinset are collaborating on a pilot program designed to bridge the traceability gap for Tiers 2 through 4 of the global textile supply chain.
Combining World Collective’s supplier relationships and sourcing ecosystem with Kinset’s advanced data architecture and modular traceability tools, this pilot will provide a practical, scalable solution for Digital Product Passport (DPP) readiness. The program will kick-start with four forward-thinking suppliers — Cabes (Burkina Faso), Climatex (Taiwan), Mithela (Bangladesh), and Usha Yarns (India) — as they build the data foundation to future-proof their operations and stand out in a rapidly changing global marketplace.
“Suppliers hold the critical data we need to achieve true, industry-wide transparency. By prioritizing their participation and strengthening data systems at every tier, we can build a supply chain that is resilient, traceable, and ready for the future,” said Jeanine Ballone, Founder & CEO of World Collective.
“Kinset’s technology is the backbone that turns fragmented supplier data into clear, actionable insights. Our platform simplifies traceability by connecting data across every tier and integrating seamlessly into Digital Product Passports. It’s about giving brands real transparency to drive smarter sourcing and long-term, sustainable growth,” said Katie O’Riordan, Co-Founder & CEO of Kinset.
Closing the Traceability Gap and Empowering the Entire Ecosystem
This pilot is envisioned not as a static white paper but as a Blueprint for Action — a real-world test designed to prove what is possible, not just theorise. By integrating Tier 2–4 supplier data into a modular, DPP-ready framework, the program establishes a practical, scalable model to close the traceability gap and empower the entire ecosystem.
Key objectives include:
Delivering real-world proof of scalable DPP implementation beyond panels and papers
Integrating supplier data into a unified, modular, DPP-ready framework
Equipping suppliers with dashboards for verification, certifications, and impact scoring
Enabling deeper collaboration to build trust and accelerate sustainable decisions
Unlocking economic opportunities and simplifying global compliance
Shared Value for Brands and Suppliers
For brands, this collaboration will:
Reduce risk and due-diligence costs
Strengthen compliance with EU and global DPP frameworks
Support investor and consumer demands for credible sustainability claims
Speed up material validation and sourcing decisions
For suppliers, the project offers:
Increased visibility and trust among responsible buyers
Easier, faster reporting on sustainability and impact data
A competitive advantage through transparent and verifiable practices
Policy & Market Alignment
The pilot is designed to align with the EU Digital Product Passport (DPP 2026), CSRD, the GHG Protocol, and OECD guidelines, ensuring practical pathways to compliance. The pilot’s initial scope will prioritize markets including Ireland, Portugal, Colombia, the United States, and Asia, with final geographies to be confirmed.
Following the pilot phase, World Collective and Kinset plan to expand their collaboration to brand-side data integration, supporting certification automation, advanced impact scoring, and monetisation opportunities that incentivize transparency throughout the value chain.
