TAB04: Description
- A handwoven abaca–cotton fabric made by the Hablonan ni Lauriana weaving community in Argao, Cebu, Philippines, exclusively for Damgo Studio. This small-batch woven combines 50% abaca, paper-spun in Taiwan from Philippine fiber, with 50% Philippine cotton sourced from Bayawan and spun locally at PTRI’s Regional Yarn Production and Innovation Center (RYPIC) in Iloilo. At ≈194 gsm, it offers a crisp, breathable, and lightly textured hand in a refined khaki tone—perfect for overshirts, utility jackets, accessories, and home textiles that require structure with natural tactility. Each meter is made to order, preserving local craft traditions while supporting traceable, responsible production through the Damgo Studio Artesans Program.
