Evolved Cotton
for Every Designer
In partnership with Avalo, World Collective is making the first-ever harvest of Low-Footprint Cotton available to any creative designer who wants to prove that beautiful, sustainable fashion comes without sacrifice.
Secure your yardageAbout
Avalo is a crop innovation company that uses AI to naturally create more resilient, efficient and sustainable cotton.
Cotton is facing some big, existential challenges.
Cotton is, and has always been, one of the best textile materials on Earth. But the water, fertilizer and pesticide use of conventional cotton leads to a massive climate footprint that is hurting farmers, farmland and the overall brand of cotton.
Avalo uses new AI models to match cotton genetics to their specific growing environments, so they can do more with less inputs. Their regeneratively grown “Low-Footprint Cotton” is optimized for the increasingly dry Texas High Plains, the World's Biggest Little Cotton Patch. That means high-quality cotton with less water and fertilizer and a much lower carbon footprint.
Their mission is clear: a fashion industry that's better for farmers, their land, and our planet. As Avalo always says: "No farmers. No fashion."

World Collective × Avalo
Evolve the industry. Evolve the culture.
To evolve the fashion industry, Avalo is working with the biggest brands in the world to lower the ecological footprint of the cotton supply chain. To evolve fashion culture, Avalo wants its cotton available to any creative designer who wants to show that you can create beautiful, sustainable fashion without sacrifice. World Collective is the infrastructure that makes that possible. We pool committed demand so a limited run of Avalo's first-ever harvest reaches brands of every size.

The Material
Where Evolved Cotton Becomes Fabric
The first material in our partnership is Avalo's Low-Footprint Cotton, woven from the first-ever harvest of Avalo cotton.
What is Low-Footprint Cotton?
It is 100% regeneratively grown Texas cotton. On the Texas High Plains, it helps farmers grow big yields of high-quality cotton using zero irrigation and significantly less fertilizer and pesticides than conventional cotton. Regenerative practices are integrated with partners USCTP and BCI.

How the Campaign Works
Until the end of 2026, 710 yards of Low-Footprint Cotton are available through World Collective. Brands commit from 100 yards and pay securely at checkout, and a live progress bar shows how much of the harvest has been claimed. Every order ships as it is placed. Swatches and hanger samples are available on request.
Why it Matters
Resilient plants mean resilient farmers, and when farmers do better, brands do too. Crops adapted to their region bring climate resilience and help global brands gain stability and less risk. Crops that need less mean healthier waterways, soil and communities. Pooled demand turns that innovation into a sourcing decision any brand can make, not just the biggest ones.

Future-Proofing Cotton, and Natural Fashion
This is Avalo's first harvest, and it is only the beginning. As Avalo evolves cotton to meet fashion's biggest challenges, World Collective will be the infrastructure that connects it to designers and brands worldwide.
Meet Avalo at Kingpins, 14–15 October.
